Chapter 2.5
The Meeting
“Where am I? “ Akemi asked to
his self while trying to stand up. After the crash he woke up in an
unfamiliar room. He’s body is still aching and almost half of it
were bandaged. He was about to leave the bed when the door opened.
“Hey boy!” A man wearing a
white robe said. “You shouldn’t move yet,”
The man helped Akemi to sit on the
bed.
“Who are you?” Akemi asked.
“Where am I?”
“You’re at the hospital right
now,” He answered. “I’m Doctor Nakazawa. I’m an intern at
this hospital. We found you 2 days ago at a park near this area.
You’re body was badly hurt and almost half of your legs was burned.
Though until now we don’t reason for those wounds and what really
happened to you.”
“What hospital? Where is this? I
should tell my father as soon as possible or else...” Akemi blurted
in panicked.
“You’re here at Clairemont
Hospital. I’m sorry we’ve tried to look for information about you
but we all failed.” The doctor explained in an anxious voice. “We
couldn’t find your parents whereabouts either.”
“What do you mean?” Akemi
asked. “My father is the 4C Lover’s CEO so it’s easier to find
him. And my name Kuroh Akemi, from the Kuroh Family.”
“Yeah, we tried to find for
information about that company too. Look...” The doctor said while
handing something to the boy.”
“We saw that inside your bag. It
was your identification card, right? We used that to locate your
family’s whereabouts but we found out that there isn’t anyone
named Kuroh Akemi here in Japan. And what’s more confusing is the
fact that you’re born on year 3088.”
“What’s wrong with being born
on that year, Doctor?” Akemi exclaimed.
“Look at here...” The doctor
demanded while pointing on to the calendar beside Akemi’s bed. “You
know it’s only year 2997 now. So it’s really impossible for you
to be born on that year. We tried looking for someone named as your
father but we didn’t find anyone.”
“Eh? It’s impossible. Its year
3100 already... Why? I’m confused...” he said holding he’s
head who’s in pain. “This is impossible...”
“I think you have to calm down
first. You’re body is still unstable so you must not force your
body yet. Let’s talk about yourself after your body recovered,”
The doctor suggested. “We’ll never stop looking for someone who
knows you, so please be a good boy and rest for now.
The doctor calmly said to the
little boy. He then helped the boy so he could lie on the bed. The
boy kept silent the whole time so the doctor decided to leave him
alone so he could rest.
“What’s happening? I’m
confused... What happened to me?” He muttered to his self, tears
beside his eyes came out. He wiped it with his hands.
“Please don’t cry...” a
familiar voice whispered.
As he heard the voiced he
hurriedly removed his hands from his eyes. His eyes widened to see
Aiyuu standing in front of him. So he hurriedly sat to see the girl
properly making his leg ache.
“Oucchh!” he exclaimed. Aiyuu
then gave him a hand in sitting which Akemi snap back.
“Don’t touch me! What are
you?” He exclaimed. “You’re the reason that I’m here, right?”
“I’m sorry, D...Akemi but I
didn’t mean for this to happen.” The girl said with a very
anxious yet sad voice. “I didn’t mean to hurt you. You’re the
only one who can help me so I had no choice,”
“What do you mean?” he yelled.
“What do you want from me?”
“I think it’s time for me to
explain everything,” Aiyuu calmly said. The boy just waited for the
girl’s explanation.
“It was true that I’m the one
who’ve sent you here but I didn’t mean to make your body suffer.
My power is slowly fading and soon I’ll completely fade, as well as
my body and my memories if the thing affecting my future continued.
So I need your help to stop the person affecting it!” The girl
explained.
“What do you mean? Why me?”
Akemi exclaimed. “I’m just a normal boy. I don’t have power
with me.” His eyes widened again when he saw the girl’s body
starting to fade.
“You can do something because
you’re my... Please trust me, Akemi. Please find Sonata and change
her future. She mustn’t dwell on with the life she has now. She
must find a reason to live because she’s the holder of our time.
She’s the only one who can help you go back to your time. So please
find her...” The young girl said with tears on her eyes before she
fades completely.
“Damn! What’s happening to
me?” Akemi hissed. He closed his eyes because of tiredness and
before he noticed he already slept in to slumber.
“I’m tired,” the girl who
was sitting at the bench said while looking at the night sky. The
girl was blankly staring at the stars when a tear started dwell out
of her eyes. She started crying hard with a loud moan that shook my
heart.
As I saw her tears my foot moved
on its own somehow my body acted weird. I was standing beside her
already but she didn’t notice me. So I decided to get her attention
by talking to her.
“Are you hurting somewhere?” I
asked surprising the girl. She suddenly jerked away from me.
“Who are you?” the girl asked.
“Why are you here?”
“I’m Akemi, I saw you crying
so I thought of asking you,” I explained. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m sorry I didn’t
mean to yell at you.” She apologized. “I was just surprised
because this is my dream.”
“Your dream? So I’m inside
your dream then.” I said. Somehow I felt weird because I can’t
help talking to the girl nicely. “Can you tell me the reason for
those tears?” The girl then looked at me with a confuse face before
she opened her mouth to speak.
“Today, I lie to everyone
again.” She answered.
“Lie? What do you mean?” I
asked out of curiosity.
“To tell you the truth, in real
world I’m a bedridden because of an unknown illness. For 10 years I
was kept inside that room waiting for the day of my death.” She
explained with a husky voice.
“So what lie did you make
again?” I asked to know her reason for crying.
“Because I don’t want to them
to worry so I kept lying to them that I’m having fun, that I’m
happy yet the truth I’m very lonely, I’m scared, I’m exhausted
and I hated my life!” The girl exclaimed. After saying those words
her tears exploded out. She cried like a small helpless child. She
looks more fragile than the first time I saw her.
Somehow inside me felt pain for
her sufferings so I held her inside my arms? Her body was so fragile
that I’m feeling scared of holding her tight because she might
break any moment. She smelled really good and her body felt cold yet
warm inside my heart. And somehow my tears started dwelling out as
well.
“Are you crying?” the girl
asked. “Do you pity me?”
“No, but somehow I could
understand how you feel. And it hurts me as well...” I answered.
“Thank you.” The girl stopped
from crying and faced me. She then wiped the tears on my face after
that she stood up and acted to leave.
“I have to go now, Akemi but I’m
glad I met you....” she whispered to my ears. “Let’s meet on
the real world,”
“Wait! what’s your name?”
The boy shouted to the leaving girl. The girl looked back and
muttered a few words Akemi couldn’t hear before vanishing at the
darkness of the night without a trace.
When Akemi opened his eyes he was
inside the hospital room again.
“A dream...,” he muttered. He
touched his face to notice that there were real tears dwelling out of
his eyes. He wiped them off as fast as he can.
He then stared blankly at the wall
in front of him, he was thinking about the dream he just had.
“Who is that girl? Why am I
feeling her pain as well?” He muttered before closing his eyes
again and returning to his sleep.
